INCISIVE KITTEN (Racing)
2021, Chestnut
Sired by seven-time Leading Turf Sire KITTEN’S JOY, this liver chestnut filly looks just like her famous father. She was purchased at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton July Select Yearling Sale in Kentucky for $32,000. She broke her maiden for a $30,000 tag as a 3-year-old in 2024 to earn back her purchase price.
Her pedigree update this summer is significant. Her half-brother by Nyquist, ARGOS, won his debut in July at Ellis Park in a $100,000 Maiden Special Weight event for trainer Riley Mott. He is on the worktab for his second start sometime late summer.
Incisive kitten and Argos Out of the Irish-bred stakes-winning mare Athenian, who has already produced a stakes horse from her 4 foals of racing age. Her 2nd dam Ziria was a G3 winner and produced multiple stakes winners and stakes producers (see pedigree link below).
She is a KY-bred so she’s eligible for the big pots at the Kentucky Downs boutique meet ($100,000 maiden races). The lucrative purses and superior turf course at Colonial Downs will be attractive for her as well.
