AMIE’S SYMPHONY (Racing)

Dazzling. That’s the word for how Amie’s Symphony dispatched a nice group of maiden fillies in an $87,500 race at Colonial Downs on August 6. When the Thoro-Manager speed figure of “9t” was posted following her 2 1/2-length maiden win (after four second-place finishes), it validated Country Life’s patience with this well-bred daughter of Mendelssohn. Her big maiden win boosted her career earnings over the $100,000-mark.

Amie’s Symphony is out of a top-class Maryland racing family and we paid $155,000 for her at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Yearling Sale in October of 2022. Her dam, stakes winner Amie’s Legend (by Not For Love), has already produced $270,606 stakes winner Ghoul’s Night Out.  Another daughter of the mare has produced a G1 winner in Chile. This filly also hails from the family of multiple stakes winners Celestial Legend, Miss Charm City and Whereshetoldmetogo.
