Country Life Farm purchased this quick-looking filly by champion sprinter MITOLE for $75,000. This is a filly we were well acquainted with. She was foaled at Country Life in 2023 for her owner, trainer Mike Trombetta. He sent her to his team in Florida at Best A Luck Farm to prepare her for this sale. Trombetta trains her half-brother, Bucaro, winner of the Fitz Dixon Memorial Juvenile Stakes. This is a family of quick-maturing runners.

We sold out 10% interests at $7,500 in the filly before we had left the sales grounds. Her partners voted to name her As the Bell Toles, a clever combo on her sire Mitole and her dam, Bells of War. She came home to Merryland for some R&R for a few weeks, then quickly joined Trombetta’s Laurel stable. She finished 3rd on debut in September and is switching to turf before the season is over.

As the Bell Toles is a Maryland-bred, Virginia-certified, Breeders’ Cup-nominated racing prospect.
