AQUA BLAZE (Racing)

Saratoga and the renovated Belmont Park are on the minds of our partners in AQUA BLAZE. The New York-bred 2-year-old daughter of Scat Daddy’s son FLAMEAWAY was purchased for $25,000 near the very end of the marathon 2025 Fasig-Tipton May sale at Timonium.

Her mother, Thicker Than Water, is by speed source Speightstown, and she won at both two and three. Importantly, she is a half-sister to stakes winners Kantharos and Ikigair, both extremely fast racehorses.

With purses in New York in 2026 to be allocated equally to restrcited races for New York-breds and open races for out-of-state breds, the future earning potential of New York-bred runners is enormous. AQUA BLAZE is presently in training at Merryland Farm and will be sent in to trainer Mike Trombetta’s Laurel string later this summer.
