Determining a Foaling Date
If you know your mare's breeding date, this activity quickly determines the theoretical foaling date.


Making a Profit

1. Birth to Sale as Weanling
Using industry "rules of thumb," determine a weanling sale price considered Profitable.

2. Weanling Sales to Yearling Sales
Using industry "rules of thumb," determine yearling price a pinhooker should receive to be considered a profit.

3. Yearling Sales to Two-Year-Old-in-Training Sales
Using industry "rules of thumb," determine price a two-year-old in-training must bring to be considered profitable (if purchased as a yearling).

4. Putting Them Together
Uses the figures generated by the above techniques to indicate profitability from birth to sale as a two-year-old-in-training.
